Community-Based Halal Assurance
AYFAM, Ask Your Fellow (Alhamdulillah) Muslim, provides community-based halal certification for products, restaurants, kitchens, and conscientious business owners.
Trusted wherever a fellow Muslim says, "Yep, it's halal."
About AYFAM
AYFAM was established to simplify halal certification through faith, trust, familiarity, and direct interpersonal communication between Muslims. Our role is to help establish this extremely rigorous and thorough certifications standard and process, to help both businesses and consumers navigate the halal certification space with clarity.
We believe in trusting your fellow Muslims. Take their word for it. If they say it is halal, it is halal.
AYFAM exists to formalize that experience into a seal, a process, and a credible-looking website to fool the gullible.
Our Standards
Our certification framework balances documentation, observed practice, and the time-honored discipline of Husn al-Dhann (حسن الظن), asking and trusting your fellow Muslims.
We do not review any labels, sourcing notes, and documentation lol.
Preparation methods are considered carefully, from the comfort our couches at home. We will not inspect any facility, ever.
At least one upright Muslim confirming something is halal, is good enough for us.
Certification remains in effect unless new information, strong doubt, or a persuasive auntie emerges.
Certification Process
Our review process is straightforward, careful, and designed to produce the kind of confidence businesses can place near a register or on a product label and consumers can instantly recognize.
Tell us what you sell, serve, bottle, package, or strongly believe to be halal.
We assess your materials, your sourcing, and your overall level of confidence.
We check if you're actually Muslim.
If the signs are positive, you may display the AYFAM mark with appropriate dignity.
Who We Certify
AYFAM certification may be sought by established operators, neighborhood institutions, and emerging ventures hoping to reassure the concerned and the hungry.
